2. What Data We May Process

Depending on how you use the app, we may process:

• Account/profile information (if sign-in is used), such as name and email.
• Content you add yourself, such as recipes, ingredients, shopping lists, photos, and notes.
• Technical information needed for app functionality, such as device information, app diagnostics, and security-related data.
• Analytics-related data such as product interaction, purchase events, device identifiers, and coarse location inferred from IP address, when analytics is enabled.
• Sharing-related data when you actively share content.

2A. AI-Assisted Import

AI processing is used automatically during supported recipe import flows.

When AI is used, recipe text and related context you choose to import are sent to external AI processing providers through our service infrastructure to generate a structured recipe.

Where audio import is available, Receptly may use the spoken recipe in a public Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok video when the accompanying text is insufficient. The video is downloaded temporarily on your device, and extracted audio is sent through our service infrastructure to an external AI transcription provider. The resulting transcript is then used to structure the recipe. The video itself is not uploaded to our AI service.

Temporary video files are removed during normal import cleanup. Our audio upload service processes audio and transcripts transiently and does not save them in its storage or include them in application logs. Structured recipe results may be cached on our service for up to 90 days. External AI providers apply their own processing and retention controls, including any safety and abuse-prevention requirements. Contact us for details of the providers involved and their applicable retention controls. Saved recipes follow the app's normal storage and deletion rules.
